Introduction

Inforider is a multi-asset market data visualization and analytics terminal for market and fundamental data analysis.

It provides:

  • Visualization of market data

  • Display of historical market data from 1/1/2010

  • Notifications

  • Strategy back-testing on historical data

It provides access to the following services:

  • Fundamentals

  • Charts

  • News from Acquire Media

  • dxPrice

  • Real-time, delayed market data

  • OnDemand market replay

Installation

To install Inforider:

  1. Install Oracle JRE 8.

  2. Get a link to the installer from dxFeed team.

  3. Unzip the file.

  4. Find the InfoRider-version-OperatingSystem. File extensions: Linux.sh/macos.dmg/windows.exe.

  5. Install and run Inforider.

Connecting

To connect:

  1. Wait for the login window to appear.

  2. Enter your username and password (same as for IPF service).

  3. Click Connection.

  4. In the Instrument Lookup Service, specify dxFeed IPF web service: https://tools.dxfeed.com/ipf and enable the fulltext instrument search option.

  5. Delete any entries from the Quote Source (the cross on the right) and enter your endpoint address.

  6. Enter your login (same as for IPF service).

  7. Enter your password (same as for IPF service).

  8. Enter your endpoint.

  9. Click OK.

Please remember that Inforider is just a diagnostic tool for several cases.

Connecting with a proxy

To connect with a proxy:

  1. Set up proxy settings in your system.

  2. Set up proxy settings in vmoptions file:

    • Windows - InfoRider.vmoptions

    • MacOS - vmoptions.txt (in the installation folder as a part of InfoRider bundle)

      Add the following lines to this text file:

      -Dhttps.proxyHost=someproxy.net
      -Dhttps.proxyPort=3128
